This shampoo gives great results as it is stronger than traditional purple pigmented hair products, so please read these instructions before you jump in the shower Step1: Wash your hair - To get the best results, wash hair with regular shampoo to remove any product build up Step 2: Do a strand test - This shampoo is stronger than traditional purple shampoos so we always recommend carrying out a strand test on the underside of your hair first Step 3: Towel dry & apply - Quickly towel dry your hair & apply the shampoo directly to your hair - running it through to the ends (remember to use the biodegradable gloves provided to avoid any purple fingertips!) Once you’ve left it in for the desired time (see step 4) simply rinse out with warm water Step 4: Your leave in time - As a guide to remove brassiness from blonde hair, or to lighten grey/silver hair: leave in for 3-5 minutes. If this doesn’t work, double your initial leave-in time. That should do the trick. For shimmering platinum/silver or ash-gray tones: leave in for 10-20 minutes Step 5: Gone too far - If you’ve over done it don’t panic. Jump back in the shower and use your normal shampoo a couple of times to remove any violet tones, then blow dry, straighten and any violet tones will disappear Must read: It’s important that the instructions are followed to avoid undesired results. The shampoo only works on blonde platinum & gray/silver sections of hair. It’s safe to use on brunette tones, it just won’t lighten or change them.
